The reindeer live in large flocks in the mountains and has a special dense and fine coat to withstand harsh Nordic weather conditions with temperatures down to – 50 degrees Celsius!

The reindeer was one of the most important prey species for our ancestors who lived by hunting and trapping. Sami people have lived and still live by reindeer, reindeer have been and are still a source for food, clothing, and Sami handicrafts. The landscape around us has rich strains of reindeer.
